Once upon a time, there was a girl named Stephanie Veerman, and a hamster, Chester. They were best friends, but she had to go off to college, meaning Stephanie's father inherited her cute fluffball. Soon thereafter, they became besties. Apparently, this hamster is pretty lovable (and looking at his cute face, it's not hard to see why). Mr. Veerman grew attached to Chester, and was utterly devastated when the fluffball managed to 'escape'.
In a panic, Mr. Veerman contacted his daughter, proclaiming how sorry he was. What ensued was a truly hilarious story that pet owners will understand all too well. Steph took the news really well, considering her bestie was out and about (probably having the best adventure of his life), and having no idea if he was okay. She posted the adorable exchange between them to her Twitter account.
